Finally got the Rah Rah photos from September 18th processed and posted. They didn’t turn out as well as the Yukon Blonde ones did, due to the lighting and me still learning how best to shoot in low light, but there’s a few I’m proud of, including this one:

Yukon Blonde and Rah Rah played a kick-ass show with Red Cedar at the Wise Hall (Vancouver) on September 17. Lindsey and I showed up waaaay too early (I don’t know why I ever expect things to start on time anymore in this town), but luckily Ben and Tyler were already there so we got to hang out with them for a while.

I managed to get some pretty good pictures of Yukon Blonde and Rah Rah, but Red Cedar had requested to have the lighting turned down quite low so it was hard to get any good photos. I’ve also discovered that red lighting is not my friend when it comes to photographs. Difficult to get a good, clear picture.

On the positive side, I’m starting to learn how to actually use my camera so I can feel like less of a poser.

So I’m still working on figuring out the new D90. It’s a complicated baby for sure! Sadly, I just haven’t really had any time to spend with it since I got it, at least as far as getting away the Auto function (I know, it makes me sad inside too). However, after this weekend my schedule is set to clear up a bit so I’m going to sit down and read the manual (probably) and give Miss D (yes, I just nicknamed my camera and she is a girl) the attention she deserves.
